Of course it depends on your specific home insurance building in May. But I would say from experience that home insurance does not extend to accidents as a result of wear (deterioration) or received as a result of a head of household to the ownership. Flashes notorious for damage and requires regular monitoring. If the damage to the areas I have mentioned the one insurable risk in Purley is an isolated incident (as in his pamphlet of a political storm, namely, fire, flood, etc.) show cause, probably due to wear or age, and therefore damage unlikely to be insured. It belongs to the insured to prove that the damage to the insured directly with a risk of loss, as stated in the policy documentation.

I work for a company to manage and insurance to cover buildings and contents policy .. The majority of measures to exclude moisture as the cause slow operation, but all politics is different. I would recommend you contact your insurance company and ask them for advice if you are not happy, then press a form and ask the expert, because they are able to check everything.

One of my friends has solved the problem and set up the whole room with the insurance companies due to temporary leaks around the chimney, so it should be possible. However, she knows the truth so probably cheaper lied to the insurance company!
